Cannon Surgical is located at 123 W. G. Acker Drive in Suite D in Pickens, near the hospital’s outpatient entrance. The office is staffed by Dr. Peter Schriver and Dr. James Mahanes, both general surgeons.
Dr. Schriver is a board certified general surgeon with over 14 years of experience. He received his medical education from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and holds a BS in Biology from The University of South Carolina. Dr. Schriver is a Diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and his areas of special interest include advanced laparoscopic surgery and laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery for heartburn. Dr. Schriver also specializes in the removal of varicose veins by a laser technique called VNUS Closure® www.vnus.com.
Dr. Mahanes is a board certified general surgeon with over 25 years of experience. He received his medical education from the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville. Dr. Mahanes was in private practice in Easley before serving as the Coroner of Pickens County for 8 years. Dr. Mahanes has additional education in Breast Disease and skin cancer detection and treatment.
